Hello Puncians,
Today we are going to break down how cost effective it is to do self maintenance of the Tata Punch which will consist of Minor and Major Services.
Before starting we will be requiring a bunch of products below are the listed items as recommended in the owner's manuals :
- Pre Mix 60-40 Concentrated Blue Coolant OEM (Top Up if required)
- DOT 4 brake fluid. (Top Up if required)
- Battery Water. (Top Up if required)
- Washer Fluid. (Top Up if required)
- Engine Oil 3.5L 0W-20 (Top Up if required)
- NGK Spark Plugs
- Air Filter.
- AC Filter.
Minor Service :
Coolant -
Check the level of the coolant reservoir if it's below the desired MAX level then refill it and maintain the levels.
Oil :
Brake Fluid -
Check the level of the brake oil reservoir if it's below the desired MAX level then refill it and maintain the levels.
Engine Oil -
Remove the dipstick from the engine bay and check the level of the engine oil level on the dipstick if it's below the desired MAX level then refill it and maintain the levels.
Major Service :
Engine Oil - Flushing out existing engine oil using engine flush liquid with new one.
Throttle Body - Cleaning of throttle body using spray if carbon deposits are found.
Air Filter - Replacement/Dusting of Air Filter based on the condition.
Oil Filter - Replacement of Oil Filter.
Spark Plugs - Cleaning/Replacement of spark plugs if rusting is seen.
Coolant - Flushing of existing coolant with new one.
AC Gas - Refilling of the AC Gas.
Brake Oil - Flushing out existing brake oil with new one.
Brake Pads - Replacement of the existing worn out brake pads.
Gear Oil - Flushing of gear oil.
