How to do Tata Punch Maintenance Service By Self Cost Saving

 Hello Puncians,

Today we are going to break down how cost effective it is to do self maintenance of the Tata Punch which will consist of Minor and Major Services.

Before starting we will be requiring a bunch of products below are the listed items as recommended in the owner's manuals : 

1. Pre Mix 60-40 Concentrated Blue Coolant OEM (Top Up if required)
2. DOT 4 brake fluid. (Top Up if required)
3. Battery Water. (Top Up if required)
4. Washer Fluid. (Top Up if required)
5. Engine Oil 3.5L 0W-20 (Top Up if required)
6. NGK Spark Plugs
7. Air Filter.
8. AC Filter.

Minor Service : 

Coolant -

Check the level of the coolant reservoir if it's below the desired MAX level then refill it and maintain the levels.

Oil : 

Brake Fluid - 

Check the level of the brake oil reservoir if it's below the desired MAX level then refill it and maintain the levels.

Engine Oil -

Remove the dipstick from the engine bay and check the level of the engine oil level on the dipstick if it's below the desired MAX level then refill it and maintain the levels.

Filters : 

Air Filter - Unbolt the screws and remove the Air Filter from the compartment and dust it off using compressed air.

AC Filter - Unbolt two screws located beside the clutch padel remove the lower filter and then the upper filter Tata Punch consists of two AC Filters wash it using a disinfectant or soapy water.

AC Vents Foam Wash - If your AC vents throwing out a foul smell then you need to clean AC Vents with foam wash.

Battery :

Amron Battery - Open the two slots of the battery to check the battery water levels if the levels are less then top up it with distilled water or battery water make sure not to drop the water otherwise it will peel off the paint.

Windscreen Wiper Washer Fluids - Buy washer fluids and add as advised by the company how to use it most of the time we use 5 ML of fluid.

Washing/Wax Polishing : 

Car Shampoo - Foam wash is the best way to get your car washed and remove the residue of dust/tar/bird poop and particles. 

Wax/Polishing - You can use polishing wax such as 3M , WaveX or Turtle Wax.

Sprays/Coatings :

Rat Repellent Spray - To protect your engine bay from rat bites you can use 3M Rat Repellent Spray (not that much effective) or Rat Cakes.

Underbody Anti Rust Coating - You can use tuf-kote 4950 Bitumen Based Vehicle Underbody Coating or Wuerth Under Body Protection

Silencer Coating Spray - 3M Silencer Coating is one of the products you can use it.

Optional :

Brake Dusting - Your rear brakes leave dust and particles from the braking of the car because of that sometimes your car makes a squeaking noise from the rear brakes when you apply brakes.

Major Service :

Engine Oil - Flushing out existing engine oil using engine flush liquid with new one.

Throttle Body - Cleaning of throttle body using spray if carbon deposits are found.

Air Filter - Replacement/Dusting of Air Filter based on the condition.

Oil Filter - Replacement of Oil Filter.

Spark Plugs - Cleaning/Replacement of spark plugs if rusting is seen.

Coolant - Flushing of existing coolant with new one.

AC Gas - Refilling of the AC Gas.

Brake Oil - Flushing out existing brake oil with new one.

Brake Pads - Replacement of the existing worn out brake pads.

Gear Oil - Flushing of gear oil.
